This is a beautiful butter pat, or individual butter dish, from the 1880s. It is Early American Pressed Glass, and was made by Duncan, George & Sons in Pittsburg, PA. The pattern is called Shell and Tassel.
The dish measures 3.5" x 3" and is in excellent condition.
