This is an unusual print ad from the mid-1900s. The ad features the saying "Say it with Flowers". This was a popular slogan started in 1918 by the Florists' Telegraph Delivery group to encourage people to send flowers for Mother's Day.

Under this slogan it says "In a Haeger Container". Haeger Potteries was a company that started in 1871 in Dundee, Illinois, and made a wide variety of pottery including many types of vases and floral containers.

In the bottom right corner, it says "Arrangements by "Tommy" Bright." Ethyl Tommy Bright started her career in floriculture Chicago in the early 1930s, and later opened the Bright School of Floral Design in the 1940s. She spent her lifetime working and teaching in the floral industry.

The ad is made from sturdy paper measuring 12" x 8.5" and is in fair condition, with marks and discoloration due to age - see photos.

This ad would be wonderful for anyone who is involved in the floral industry, or who is a collector of Haeger pottery!
